I've experienced some issues with a rash as well.  It didn't start though until we purchased leather furniture.  whenever my skin touches leather, a rash forms.  almost immediately.  I suffered for 3 years, where the dermatologist just gave cordizone cream and said not to worry about it.  Then one day, I looked at the couch and threw a sheet on it and TaDah! Relief at last.  I'm allergic to leather.  It wasn't until I mentioned it to my mom that I thought I was allegeric to leather that she told me, my dad was too.  He would break out from a leather watch band.  I guess look for something that's changed in your life,  detergent, furniture, watch, whatever.   It might be the key to your pain.
