Hi Gmb1916,    I'm sorry it took so long to get to your question. You have quite a few things going on with your skin, eyes, throat and lungs. I require answers to several more questions before being able to generate some thoughts on what is causing your problem. You may be experiencing a contact allergy but this would not explain your breathing problems or throat swelling. If all these symptoms occured at the same time, or close together, anaphylaxis (a severe form of allergic reaction that may be life-threatening) would have to be considered.    The involvement of multiple areas of the body including lungs makes this potentially serious (especially if allergy based). I know it was disappointing not to have your problem solved after seeing the allergy specialist.   Allergy shots are not indicated for swelling and itching skin disorders. Did you see a board certified allergist? If not, you should arrange to see one with the appropriate credentials (board certified status can be verified over the internet).     Your primary doctor may choose to refer you to a University based allergy clinic if your problems persist despite seeing a qualified specialist.   Some other areas on this site to check out are: Angioedema and Anaphylaxis     Good Luck, J. Thompson, MD
