3 year old allergy suffered

My son has a constant runny nose during the day. But what worries me the most is that he has drainage at night, and often coughs and chokes in his sleep. Sometimes he has even vomited unknowingly. Garlic allergy

My daughter is highly allergic to garlic and we are having a hard time determining if foods contain garlic.  She loves ketchup and we can not get any answers on whether or not any contain garlic.  Everything just says spices.  Does anyone know if there are any tomato products that do not contain garlic?

Is it dangerous to take my shellfish-allergic eight year old son to a week long beach vacation?

I will ask his allergist this question shortly. The facts are I think I can successfully control what he will ingest even though there are so many seafood restaurants there....
