First reaction to allergy shot

Into approximately 6th week of allergy shot therapy. Yesterday, around 1:30 p.m. rec'd injection and I immediately started itching at injection site on left arm. Food Trigger

My 5 year old daughter and I are trying to get a handle on our migraines together and she is being a real trooper. I have a question- is MSG the only food preservative that may trigger a migraine or should I be looking for other specific things (such as EDTA)?
