British experts say they are seeing an increase in the number of people who have several allergies at once, and they say that reactions are getting more dangerous as well. Immunologists say that 15 percent of the population used to suffer from allergies, but the number is approximately 40 percent now. The reason for the increase is not fully understood, but experts suggest that climate change and an expanding variety of food are at least partially to blame.
