A new technique called a "Mini TightRope procedure" may correct bunions on the feet without the need for the invasive, bone-breaking procedure currently used. The new Mini TightRope option uses a minimally invasive toe-binding process that promises to reduce pain and allow for crutch-free walking. Its developer reports it is also designed to cut down patients' recovery time by more than half.
