Drugmaker Pfizer is reporting that a chewable form of its cholesterol drug Lipitor has been approved for children in the European Union. This form of Lipitor can be used by children ages 10 and older who have high levels of trigylcerides and bad cholesterol, including those with familial hypercholesterolemia, an inherited condition that causes extremely high cholesterol.
