Researchers say that patients with asthma may benefit from taking an available anti-fungal medication. The drug--called Itraconazole--was given to patients in four British hospitals and researchers found that 60 percent of the asthmatics showed significant improvement in their symptoms when compared with a group who took a placebo. The study's authors also found that the patients asthma symptoms and nasal allergies began to return after they had been off the medication for four months.
