New data presented at the European Respiratory Society Congress has shown that Alvesco controls asthma symptoms as well as Advair, and it does so with fewer daily doses. Alvesco (ciclesonide) and Advair (fluticasone propionate) are both inhaled corticosteroid medications, but Alvesco only requires one dose per day while Advair requires two doses.
