Chlorine in pools raise kids' allergy, asthma risk

Kids who swim in pools disinfected with chlorine may be more likely to develop allergies and asthma, a new study has found. Researchers say that kids who spent more than 1,000 hours swimming in indoor and outdoor pools were eight times more likely to develop asthma than kids who swam in pools that did not use chlorine. Researchers say the fumes from too much of the chemical can build up in the air above the pool's surface.  Read full story >
