"Allergy Shot" Pill Shows Lasting Benefits

A medication called Grazax appears to reduce allergies to grass pollen--even after patients quit taking the drug. Like allergy shots, Grazax exposes allergy sufferers to small amounts of their allergen daily for several years. In a recent study, researchers found that people who had stopped taking Grazax showed 25 percent fewer hay fever symptoms a year after stopping the medication.
