Hi I have talked to you before and read many of your post. I really enjoyed this one on how they determine how a patient has Alzheimers. I wanted to ask you if you have ever studied a link to chemical expose as a link to alzheimers. When my husband had his first heart attack and then open heart surgery they were shocked to find 28 years ago that at such a young age he had severe blockages through out his body. After five heart attacks and three lower aorta shut downs and the loss of both legs to that they said he had the vascular system of that of a 80 to 90 year olds body. He flew a cobra helicopter in Vietnam and was exposed to ageant orange everyday. The one vascular surgeon that operated on him the most said his system was so abnormal that an outside source caused it. He has no family history of this and in fact his Dad is 89 years old and still living and has never had high blood pressure or heart disease. I have tried researching the effects of agent orange and the only thing I can get is it is a cancer related chemicial. I do not believe this after having been to the VA hospital and seeing so many vietnam era vets with Alzheimers and so many forms of unexplained vascular diseases. Most I have talked to have no family with any of these same conditions. There has to be a connection I just can't find it. Would you see if you can find any links. I would love to hear from you and your thoughts on this subject. I am nobody other then a wife and primary care giver of a spouse with alzheimers. I do know for a fact they are liking second had exposure to spouses and I do have high blood pressure and have had two heart attaks and now have PAD. No previous family history of this with my family only me. Please help me find some answers. Connie
