Thanks to Joe Smith, his project Alzheimer's Disease: Early Detection Matters, and the enthusiastic support of voters, the Alzheimer's Association will receive $1.5 million from American Express to begin an education campaign emphasizing the importance of early detection among physicians and the general public.
Congratulations Joe Smith!
I can attest from personal experience that early detection matters. Please take the time to view this video. If you can, please make your doctor and others aware of the video. Your efforts will go a long way toward bringing the importance of early detection into the awareness of doctors and families everywhere. Your efforts right now can make an important difference in the life of someone now suffering from an undetected case of Alzheimer's.
"If we could have had a correct diagnosis even two years earlier, it would have given us more time to plan, to do the things that can result in a good quality of life and to accomplish things we always wanted to do that got put off for this reason or that."
