Caregiving with Grace: Finding God in Alcohol Dementia

Mary Snustad Community Member April 21, 2011
  • I am the main caregiver for my mother, who has Vascular and Alcohol Induced Dementia. My mom is 68, and was diagnosed 5 years ago. She is now living in a nursing home full time, as her memory has declined further and she has been recovering for 2 years with 2 broken hips (she is in a wheel chair), so she needs full time nursing help.

I started a blog last October to help cope with the many challenges that Dementia brings while being a caregiver. It also explores how my faith has been tested, and strengthened throughout this difficult journey. I pray to give people hope and let them know that they are not alone!!!! Please check it out and feel free to post a reply if you were inspired :) ! God bless you in your journey!
