About Me

The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America’s (AFA) is pleased to join HealthCentral’s slate of experts as part of our commitment to provide optimal care to individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, and their families. Watch for AFA’s expert social services team as they monitor SharePosts and the Forum, providing guidance to those who raise issues pertaining to Alzheimer’s disease, related illnesses and caregiving.

“Hand holding” is very much a part of AFA’s mission. Given the 24/7 responsibilities of caregiving, our licensed social workers recognize that no question is too small…every challenge has potential solutions…and education, skills and a compassionate ear can make all the difference in coping with this disease.
