Thanks for this informative endorsement of modern social media. I have found myself that seniors who spend at least some time on a computer and become comfortable with emails, some research and other uses, seem younger and more mentally sharp. This is not, I need to add, a study!
It follows that social networking would be useful, as well. And, since socialization is helpful to most of us in keeping our brains healthy, why not add some social networking to the mix?
