Wonderful tips for helping Dad have a good day. Often, we try to make holidays too complicated. The atmosphere must be low key so the person with dementia doesn't get agitated. Sometimes it's best to go where Dad is, instead of trying to bring him to a different environment (even though it's your home and he's been there a million times, it may seem strange now). However you do it, celebrate Father's Day. Cherish the memories of now, as well as the memories of Dad before dementia stole the dad of your childhood. Both are important.
