Health Interests

How do I help my mother who has been diagosed with Stage 5 Dimentia/Alzheimer. She has been place in 24 hour Facility,  Memory Care. She has (0) short term memory. She was placed 8/22/07. Four daughters,  One is fighting the who situation and in denial. She is not offering to take care of our mother. She just keeps her agitated telling her she doesn't belong in there and she will get her out. Nothing against attorneys,  I worked for them for years. But,  in this case,  If my sister doesn't stop,  every dime my mother has worked for her whole life will just go to attorney fees. The rest of the family is past the thought of inheritance. We just want to preserve what mother does have to pay for her to be taken care of in a facility. It seems quite a waste of her money to just give it to the attorneys. Her family Doctor of years,  tried to put her on medicine in 2000. Mother just ignored him. We have documentation from her family doctor,  St. Vincent Hospital,  St. Francis hospital Senior assessment Center,  Several doctors,  now the doctors at the Facility she is staying. Every doctor that has seen her,  said she couldn't stay in assisted living and needs the 24 hour care. My oldest sister is making this nasty,  She tells my poor mother,  her other daughters are being mean and making her stay there. This is going to cost my poor mother all her hard earned money to go to attorneys instead of paying for her medical care. Who can we co to in the State of Indiana to get this stopped. Are there Alzheimer Counselling Care groups?? We are desperate as a family for help. The emotional stress is unreal. Please someone help us with this situation or inform us where to call.

Drugs I am Taking

Mother after 7 years is just now taking the medicine she needed. I know it would not have stopped the desease,  but it can slow and calm a person down. I know she is at least taking the aricept.

About Me

Most the above information is about my Mom. We are a family, that lost our own father when I was a sophmore in High School We have all been very close to our mother.  This situation is terry up the whole family. There are four girls, spouses, 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren.  It is exhausting, as I would think with any of the daughters. PLEASE, PLEASE SOMEONE HELP US????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
