Sleep apnea (SA) causes both depression and Alzheimer's disease. You do not have to take my word for it. Do a sleep test and treat with a PAP machine and see for yourself. Your depression will improve and your Alzheimer's will too.
Note: False negative sleep tests are common (up to 25% in one study). If you don't sleep well and your tech is not experienced, you may be told incorrectly that your test was negative when you actually have sleep apnea. This is mistake that should never happen, but does all too often.
This is wonderful, Dorian. As you know, I've reviewed the book in my newspaper column. It's fascinating reading and a heart-tugging story - plus it makes the reader think. Thanks for this series!
