I read about this and agree with you, Dorian. I do wonder about "unintended consequences", such as health insurance, employment and other real world issues. As with so many diseases, once it's known you have it - even if symptoms are way down the road - the easier it is for companies to find ways to not insure or hire you.

 

Yet, overall, this is good. This ability will help people plan, more research can be done and likely, more will be found out about the earliest stages of the disease - which hopefully will lead to a way to stop it before symptoms.

 

Life gets complicated, doesn't it?
