I would like to see the movie too when I get a chance. However, I think the UK people are thinking that the movie is about her whole life. Why focus on the disease when she is sick? I have not seen it so I don't know which part is wrong, but I think British people want to show more of her good life when she was the iron lady. I kind of think they should make 2 movies about her: one is about her career, and the other one likes this about her disease.
Her daughter was the one that wrote a book about her Mom's disease but I guess she was shocked that the movie people focused too much on the disease.

Thanks for this intriguing review of "Iron Lady." Thatcher's supporters can still admire all she did while learning what Alzheimer's does to the brain. As you said, Dorian, people with AD do go back in time and her being Prime Minister was in her mind was perfectly normal for the course of the disease. I do hope the movie is educating the public in general, and that most people will at least come away with more compassion for those affected by AD.
