I have a vivid memory of the day that my mother went to the emergency room at our regional hospital and I knew that something was wrong with her mentally. Wow you said a mouth full and must have read my mind. Ray is now in home health care and it was stressful just doing the intack, thankfully the woman that came here won't be his nurse. The major battle I have haved with him since his diagnosis is driving, He was told not to drive and has blamed me for his inability to drive and the fact that he has alzheimers. I wanted to slap this woman she told him she didn't understand why they didn't allow Alzheimers patients to drive. Well DUH they can't concentrate their minds wander and they either cause an accident or get lost. I am calling the home health care office filing a complaint and telling them that woman never ever comes back to my home. She needs to be fired.  He is a double amputee and we have already had the hand controls taken off but give me a break this is hard enough without a so called professionial saying that sometimes they mistake Dementia for alzheimers, I know this but his diagnosis was confirmed and no he dosen't need to be driving. She left and the fight was on he is very angry and mad at me because now he doubts his diagnosis and says he can drive. I finally could not take the yelling so I went to bed with a miagraine. Where do this places find these people at and why would they allow someone to come to an Alzheimers patients home and say these things. I am filing a report and if they don't have smarter people then this I will go through a different agency. Sometimes the stress of this does make me doubt my sanity. Connie
