Dear President Obama,
First of all, congratulations! Your speech Tuesday laid the foundation for our nation’s future efforts, and effectively communicated that it will take all of us working together to move the United States forward.
You have mentioned that health care is one...

Hi Dorian,
You hit it on the nose! I have been wanting to say just exactly what you put in that letter. I would like to know the requirements for the doctors that seem to be the only ones that can go into individual nursing homes. They send their nurse practioners 98 % of the time. The doctors do not see the patients unless it is an emergency situation. I actually feel the doctors are just over so many nursing homes, and don't really seem to take the time to find out anything about the patients. The senior medical plans are really in need of regulating what the doctors role is in their care. How many times does a doctor actually have to see a patient? I am not saying all doctors are the same, but there are a lot out there. I see reason for care and concern for the doctor patient relationships for the elderly. The minute you go into a nursing home you loose all the doctors you have gone to for years, and your medical history disappears! I truely believe that is why my Mom is now sitting with two legs now full of blod clots. Thanks you so much for writing that letter, Carolyn, Mom's baby
