Hi Jacqueline Wow did you just hit a very real subject at a time I am facing so many issues. My husband you know about but now parents. Mom 79 Dad 89 and My mother is still in pretty good health but does have medical issues. Dad not so good he is having major problems and we are trying to research how to get him in a nursing home because my mother just can't handle him any more. Mom is refusing an assisted living center so she can keep her independance and I don't blame her. She can live safely alone but we aren't sure how the financing of nursing home care for Dad will affect her financially. I know her wants and needs when the time comes we just had the big talk again and you are so right talk when they are mentally capable of making plans don't wait until it's to late. Mom is giving me power of attorney and durable will. I just wish we had done this with pop as it is to late for that now but we have to do what we think is best for him and her and living at home is not an option for him any longer.

    Thank you Connie
