Dear Friends,

My Mom died October 10th, 2009 of a Massive Brain Hemorrhage.

She was 83. She had Alzheimer's.  Although it hurts, I lost her a long time ago. I grieve for the Mom I once knew and for the little child she became.

I wrote a few times toward the end of my caregiving experience. I do wish I had found your site earlier.  I found some  solace in sharing, venting, and reading  your shared post. I thank you for that.  It helped having a connection with other's that were just as frazzled, exhausted, and overwhelmed.

I was able to manage alone for  two years. It was clear she needed more help than I was able to give. She was living in a wonderful facility the last 4 months.  I can't say enough about the wonderful care Mom received at The Maples of Benzie in  Frankfort,Michigan...My sister works there.. so, it was ideal.

I'd like to recommend a book. It helped me understand  what Mom was going through. I hope you will purchase one for  yourself. Believe me.. It will be well  worth you 11 bucks.
