Dear Friends, My Mom died October 10th, 2009 of a Massive Brain Hemorrhage.  She was 83. She had Alzheimer's.  Although it hurts, I lost her a long time ago. I grieve for the Mom I once knew and for the little child she became.   I wrote a few times toward the end of my care...

Hey, I hope you are able to read that book. Rev. Davis did pass away. His sharing...the writing of this book ... was and is still a true  blessing for all who read it.

    Hugs

This  is a wonderful site... It's great to share and vent. I am saying prayers  for you and your Mom ...and that God will soften the heart of a family member/or friend to help you. I hope you do get the book.

My mom is now in a care facility, but was with us for nearly 5 years prior to her recent move. I, too, wish I had found this site years ago.  Our journey was exhausting and saddening.  I also feel that I lost her a long time ago - she was no longer the mom I knew.  She is 90 now, and the effects of the illness are starting to increase. I am truly not sure what stage of the disease she is in, but feel it must be at least the lower end of stage 3.  She experiences sundowning on a daily basis, and is increasingly tired, fidgety, restless and weepy.  Thank-you for your helpful comments, everyone! It is wonderful to have a place to share thoughts and feelings that others understand.

I am saying prayers for you and your Mom.  It is nice having people that understand what we are going through.
