Alzheimer's, Memory Loss, Dementia, Caregiving, Depressing, Dieting
I have been taking full care of my 82 year old Alzheimer's mother since October of 2008. This journey with Mom is bitter-sweet. At times she is a sweet child.. other times.... )-: Her memory loss, mood swings and lack of sleep is sad and exhausting. I am glad I can be there for her. At times I just want to run away.... but, I don't. I hope to meet other people who can share their day, advice, laughter..a tear. As for me..I love big trees, wildflowers, art, cooking, old movies and ...World of Warcraft. Yes, I am a closet computer gamer. It's my kid's fault! A family that slays together, stays together. *s* Anyway..it is something that gives diversion to the sad reality that I live in these days. It's an outlet. Instead of screaming....I get to kill monsters.*s* BTW.. Plz do not judge me for my typing errors. I am pretty exhausted and my time is limited.. so I rush.
