Thanks for this post, Christine. Most of us who are or have been long-term caregivers can relate. For some, the depression is stiuational, but for others, it's clinical.
Your suggestions that people learn more about the disease and use problem solving to cope are good ones. It's unfortunate that the people with the most money can afford the most help. That doesn't prevent them from the emotional pain of an elder with AD, but money does give them options for respite from caregiving. We need more help for caregivers in the U.S.
