Very interesting article, Christine. Lewy body dementia doesn't get as much attention as Alzheimer's, but I believe people will become more aware of different types of dementia with all of the research and current news.

I wrote about Pick's disease, which is another, though more rare, form of dementia. There are so many issues for a physician to look at before arriving at a diagnosis.

Thanks for the informative article.

Great! I'm looking forward to your next post on the dementias. This is important. People have a lot of questions about the differences.

Hi Christine,

Thank you for writing about Dementia with Lewy Bodies.

I am my mom's Care Giver, she has Lewy Bodies.  The days when she's clear are awesome.  She takes natural remedies to treat her symptoms; we see a Naturopath Doctor and traditional doctors.

Last week I created a subliminal hypnosis recording for my mom (I am a trained Clinical Hypnotherapist) and the results are amazing.  Her issues are finding words... she is not stuttering and she's finding the right word more often than not.

My mom is sensitive to all pharma medications.  The natural remedies work awesome.

Not long ago her insurance company called and asked me what I'm doing with my mom?  They called twice.  I wrote a blog post about it here. http://backdoorlogic.blogspot.com/2009/12/day-insurance-company-called.html

Thank you for getting the word out about DLB - it's a horrible disease that leaves the patient and the care giver feeling abandoned because people don't understand the illness.

Thanks for contacting me Susan. I have looked at your blog and your experience of finding new approaches for your Mom. It sounds very interesting and you are getting some good results. Hopefully others caregiving to someone with Lewy Bodies will find it inspirational and helpful. Well done! Smile

All my best wishes to you and your Mom

Thank you for visiting my blog... my mom she is having super results.  As a Care Giver I've learned that my behavior and emotions are very important.  LBD patients are super sensitive to emotions and feelings given off by others.

Thanks again for writing about LBD.

Sue
