OUR JOURNEY WITH THIS HORRIBLE DISEASE

By Cathy Thursday, November 08, 2007

We seem to be tumbling fast these days.  My mom was recently diagnosed with alzheimers.  I am afraid that she had the disease for a while before she was diagnosed.  Maybe we were all in denial.  Anyway, she is presently taking aricept.  Also, she was recently prescribed lexapro in the morning to help with depression.  At night, she is taking Respidril.  Her disease seems to be progressing rapidly.  Has anybody else had this experience of it progressing rapidly.  She is 86 years old and in relatively good physical health.
