Oh, Carol, I could kiss you!!!!!!!

I am starting on the Med diet tomorrow.  I love all the foods you listed...and my husband will, too, if he knows what is good for him--and ME!

Thank you so much for your info on the study!

Carol, forgive my enthusiasm in the prior message. Wacko I did not mean to be so forward to say "I could kiss you."  Please realize that it was meant only as a saying.  Sorry.  I hope that I have not offended you.

I really am happy Big Grin for the info on your post and have already gone online to find out what I need to buy when I go grocery shopping tomorrow.

I truly appreciate all the research you are doing and the support you are giving for me as a dementia patient and for that which you give to the caregivers. Roll Eyes

    Thanks again.

Leah, I loved your enthusiasum! You made my day. There wasn't anything inappropriate about  it. You, Richard Taylor and one of our local retired television people (who also has early stage Alzheimer's) were the people on my mind and in my heart as I read the study and wrote my response. Eat up, Leah! I'm pulling for you.

    Carol,

I'm so relieved.  When I responded, I was in my third night of not being able to sleep...I'm trying not to get my days and nights mixed up.  I've taken a very short nap during the day (or none at all, just rested), but seem to be not able to sleep until 2 or 3 in the morning.  Blink THe first night this happened was from excruiating leg pain due to peripheral neuropathy.  I evidentally had taken my meds much too early that evening and so they had worn off by 2 or 3 AM.  That night I just laid in bed writhing in pain...but since then, I'm having trouble sleeping.  What a pain.

I am so glad you are understanding. Big Grin

Pain when we are trying to sleep is a bummer. That's extra hard for you, since you are trying to keep everything in its place, so to speak. It sounds like you've got the medication problem figured out, so I hope you sleep tonight.

It's always so good to hear from you, Leah.

    Carol,

I loved the inclusion of what makes up a Mediterranean diet; that will be helpful to all who read this.  And, I especially loved your energetic, enthusiastic ending, as I am sure all who read it will also.

I am so glad you are there doing the research.  Gives me more time to play games to promote brain health!

It's good for nearly everyone, so it sure can't hurt. I love Greek food, anyway.

    Take care, Nina.
