Mannkind (MNKD - NASDAQ) is a "non-big 3" pharmaceutical company that invented this delivery system and the dry-poweder medium in which the drug is delivered. They recently suffered rejection by FDA, most likely because they are not part of the FDA payola system.
Let's hope there's enough pressure to get this through quickly, if it's indeed as effective as the study shows!
