Carol, thank you so much for sharing your family story with us.  It was a pleasure to read it - I felt like i was there with you all.

 

Its so important to have memories like these.  I was blessed to have grown up with my grandmother living with us as she aged.  We never had to place her in a facility, so we were able to grow up with her right with us, instructing on how to do certain things "her way".

 

I feel even more blessed having read your post.

 

I wish you more great memories with your family today and the rest of the holidays.
