    How right it is that we cannot assume anything! Lots of people like to assume Alzheimer's as it is a common form of dementia. Some people even joke with it when they are forgetful. I actually told my sister not to make a joke on it and "curse" herself!! I never realized what Alzheimer's is like until my father-in-law got sick. My late mother-in-law liked to say he had dementia and she never found out that he has Alzheimer's. A lady friend of his also assumed that he has Alzheimer's. I think a diagnosis is important and it makes it certain. However, it is hard to diagnose as we discussed earlier.
