Definitely. Sometimes cheapest isn't always best. Look for certified, contamination free fish oil if you consume supplements, and for fish (usually the smaller varieties) that are as contamination free as possible.

You could try flax seed oil. It's not as stable af fish oil, but you should get some benefits. Also, have you tried different brands of fish oil? Maybe it's the capsule components in the brand you were taking. But if you have, and it still doesn't work,  I'd recommend Flax for omega-3. You'd get more stability by using flax seed and grinding it and putting it in your cereal, or something, but not all of us are ready to do that.

neptune krill oil is the most potent fish oil available that does not result in stomach burps.

it is a shrimp-like fish that has the most potent dose of omega-3s and because of it's small size does not require molecular distillation, which means it's bound to a natural matrix of phospholipid fats that provide for a 95%+ absorption rate (thus no fish burps).

costco now sells it at a good price. take 1-3 a day in the mornings. with its effective potency, afternoon intake may result in insomnia as it has for me.

as well as regular exercise and balanced diet are also crucial. circulation and nutrition (i take costco b-complex + multivitamin plus revesterol) are vital to ensuring that one has good brain flow to ensure optimal absorption of nutrients and omega-3s.

to be clear, krill's small size means it naturally is free of any pcbs or mercury, and thus there is no need for molecular distillation.
