    Thanks Carol.  This is one of those topics that can never be discussed enough.  It sounds like more and more we are finding that drugs once used for an intended purpose are revealing problems down the road.  Maybe we'll start using the right things in the right way.  Course we don't want to eliminate how research reveals the flip side - some drugs showing promise for unintended health issues.  But to your point, this seems to have been proven a bad idea and now it is even more importnat not to use these drugs in patients with dementia.

     

    What are your thoughts on this topic?  Has anyone had to face this issue with a loved one?  If so jump in the discussion and let us know about it here.
