Hi Carol, I've finally found you online :) Wow, I am so impressed by all you do. You left a comment on my blog and I can't thank you enough for that. This issue you wrote about here is very true. Something we're doing is donating my deceased Father's entire movie and music collection to his former long-term care facility. My Father had large collections of entertainment specifically geared to the older population. So maybe that is something people could do. Donate money or the actual movies, books on tape and CD, and music that appeals to seniors who appreciate things from their past. They need that. I also wrote to our local political rep about improving older facilities for residents. It's little things but if we all do it, it will start a groundswell of help at no cost to the facilities. I've still got Mom so I'm trying to keep up with information in case a day comes when I need more help with her. It's worrisome flying blind.
