As you mentioned, there are a growing number of books on Alzheimer's. However, when a book such as "I Still Do" comes along where a couple is willing to open up their hearts and their lives as openly as this, readers can better understand the reality of living with such a devastating disease. All of us who are involved in elder care can certainly use information and how to's, but being allowed into the personal life of someone in the form of photos and poetry presents a compelling picture mere words cannot express. Thank you for bring this book to our attention.

Thank you, Carol, for this insightful review.  I think I may buy this book and urge my husband to read it.  Though I don't have Alzheimers, I know that the future may throw my husband and I into a similar situation.  I am traveling a different path with vascular dementia but think that this book will help to open up communication about the future and my wishes.  I know it will help me appreciate my present ever so much more!
