I never worried about carrying the torch. Sure there was a family history of heart disease, hypertension, elevated cholesterol levels, and diabetes. And, yeah, my four brothers had come down with all the problems. Though I have been treated for the first three problems since I was in my twentie...

Why Don't I Do What I Need to Do To Stay Healthy?

Dear Cuz,
I can relate only too well--rice, potatoes, hot bread--all my fav carbs
I go to the gym and use the treadmill -- but, not often enough...
Maybe it would work if you made it your routine to get on treadmill as soon as you get up in the morning--before you have you cup of tea...
As for me--I go right after work on my way home--I stop by the gym at Andrews...use treadmill for 30-45 mins...then go home
Still--even though it is my routine--at drop of hat, I don't go. I aim for 5 times a week--minimum. Usually I go 3-5 times.
I feel great afterwards--I just seem to allow things to distract me.
It is so important--I know it--just like you do. We will have to try harder to be healthy [smile-wink]
Love you

I like your idea aabout hitting the achines right after I get up. I could watch the news at the same time...then, my cup of tea and oatmeal (the long cooking kind) would be my reward!!! I'll try that once I get home from my daughter's.
Thank you, Coni, for being so supportive and for reading my blog. Your feedback is important!
Love, Leah

My pleasure!
Have fun on your trip--and give hugs, kisses and my love to both Dana and Alex.
