I look forward to having you on my team!  I'll let you know way in advance...I think it occurs in August or September.

You are truly an inspiration and a survivor.  I'm so impressed by your ability to see that life continues on past your illness and that you can make a difference in the lives of others.  What an amazing woman you are!  "I have plans" to read more of your blogs.

    Thanks for the insight.

Thank you, Dana, for your kind words.  You know, we are far more capable than we ever know until something hits us between the eyes.  It is then that one makes a choice to either languish to the end or rise up to make a difference.  Guess I've always been a fighter, when you think about it.  You made my day. Big Smile

I don't know what I did to make that writing so big Blink...therefore, I don't seem to make it smaller.  Please know that I was not yelling at you which that style/size would make you think.

    Love,

    Mom

At this time of year each of us considers those in our lives who have made a difference. Leah has made a difference in my life for many years. When we were in 8th grade, I moved and was in a new school environment - no friends, alone. The person who befriended me - Leah, a truly gentle soul and an inspiration to me. Leah and I have kept in touch sporadically since we graduated from high school - I moved from Maryland to California. Whenever we meet it is as if we were just coming into Mrs. Allen's room for our journalism class - so many interesting, exciting events and ideas to explore. I was so saddened to learn this summer about Leah's condition. In true Leah-style she has taken her situation and made a positive choice to make a difference. I am so proud to have a friend in Leah.
