I just found a new hero.  His name is not a household word, but arguably should be.  His name is Robert H. Goddard.  He is one of the fathers of modern rocketry.  He is my hero because he never gave up, despite early childhood illness.  Despite being two years behind in s...

Hi Leah - good to hear that your watch is working as you had hoped.  And don't worry if you cannot hear it beeping.  It seems that this is only happening to you in restaurants while reading a menu.  Someone is bound to hear it for you and give you a hand! Wink

Thanks, Sue.  One other hint...I gotta wear it to use it.  I got so busy today writing plans for a memory course at the Senior Center that I forgot to put it on...and forgot to eat lunch... Nothing's perfect, but it will be a great help.  God bless you!  Leah

    Hello Leah,

I have never read or seen the word spelled Dimentia with an I with my years working at the Alzheimer's Association, MA Chapter.   Is this correct.

Yes, Susan.  You are very correct.  I JUST noticed (Surprised) the mistake.  Guess it is my dementia acting up again.  I have divided opinions about the misspelling.  On one hand, I feel that if my blog is representing my life with dementia, maybe any misspelling should be kept in (showing the state I am in).  On the other hand, having been a reading teacher for 34 years, I get devastated over spelling errors and feel that they need to be corrected.  Please accept my apology for the error.  I hope to hear from you in the future...misspellings or not!

    Dear Leah,

Guess what?  I have found two new hero[s] along with my old hero [my granddaughter, Erin]?

    Brogan Ruppert and Leah Jones

Why?  They are so very brave--each of them are battling their own illness--their bravery, courage, wit, and hope for a better day--bring tears to my eyes!

We could all learn a thing or two from them!  [smile, wink]

    Hugs, Cousin Connie
