I’ve done it!  I have pushed myself out of my comfort zone and done something I have longed to do.  I taught my first class to senior citizens using a program I am developing, called “Strengthening Your Mind”!           &nb...

God bless you, Carol.  It is people like you who are doing so much more for people like me than I could ever do...you have helped to define caregiving in the highest of terms, full of love, compassion, and understanding.  You, in turn, are continuing to help caregivers understand that they need to care about themselves, too.  Thank YOU, my dear!  I do appreciated your kind words.

Leah, when you said "It is not enough to just hunger or desire something", really came out loud and clear.  You put action behind your words and are an inspiration to all. "Strengthening Your Mind" sounds like a wonderful program. I am so proud of you. Yes, you have done it! Congratulations.

Thanks, Sandy!  I hope to help many seniors in the time to come with this program.  I'll keep everyone informed about how it's going...BTW, I just came from my first experience at Chucky Cheese's "where a kid can be a kid" restaurant...I told my husband it needs to have an age limit ... no one past the age of 60 should be allowed in--what a zoo!  Whew... the kids all had fun, though, and I guess that was the real goal anyway.

    Take care and God bless.

Yes, Sandy, laughter was definitely in abundance!  However, I don't care for pizza; I did find that most of the pizza dough was good, as was some of the sausage and bacon...other than that, not very good (in my humble and prejudiced opinion).  It was wonderful being with family and watching the glee of the five year old grandson celebrating.  I had the honor of being asked by my three year old grandson to take him around to the games...he asked me and not the other grandmother who watches him throughout the week.  I was thrilled!  Take care and God bless!
