Leah, I'm turning 64, July 1st , and seem to be stumbling over the problems you've noticed. By the way, Happy Birthday to you! My wife called me from work this morning to say Happy Anniversery.... (I guess it slipped my mind, but I've felt bad all day!).

I read much of your writings and really enjoy them. I thank you for tender words when

mentioning what has slipped my mindSmile.

You know,... SO many readers depend on you and your fellow writer's. I need to thank ALL at OurAlzheimer's.Com. I really feel close to some.

    God Bless you Always!

Thank you, Michael, for your kind words...and happy anniversary to YOU!  Isn't it refreshing to be able to share one's thoughts and worries...well, refreshing may not be the appropriate word.  Perhaps, I should have used "comforting".  Knowing that one is not alone in one's troubles...and seeing how others handle things.  I know that I learn from my readers' comments.  I am so thankful that I can be of some help or comfort to others.  Our time on earth is so short; it's like I'm in a race to do all I can to make this a better place.  Good luck with your journey...let me know how things are going from time to time!

    Hi Leah,

I wanted to wish you a happy birthday.  Looks like it should be a warm and sunny Cool

I'm sorry to learn about your hearing difficulties.  Hearing aids can work miracles, so I hear (pardon the pun - just wanted to bring ya a smile).

I know it must be frustrating to have another obstacle thrown your way. I am confident you are capable of overcoming it though.

Enjoy "your" special day and don't forget to make a wish!

Hi, Bill.  Been a while since you last commented!  Thanks for the good wishes.  I loved your pun; humor goes a long way to brightening one's day!

I am getting used to the hearing aids.  This is one noisy world!  I am having to reprogram my brain to tune out the peripheral sounds.  That's not so hard.  I love being able to hear again, especially when I realize how much I have been missing and never knew it!  My brother, the one who passed away a year ago, was always being lovingly nagged to get his hearing checked.  He refused to see he had a problem and how hard it was on those around him.  Perhaps had he lived longer, he might have gotten some inspiration from me...we'll never know.

Life is always throwing road blocks and speed bumps.  It's all in how you approach them and get around the obstacle that makes the difference! Wink

    My best to you!  Leah
