Thanks Dorian. I know that quietly meditating has "saved me" many times. Modern life includes a lot of stress. Add caregiving to that, and we can become overwhelmed with demands. Some quiet time to get centered is optimal. Since there are so many types of meditation, people can choose. Concentrating on God is one way. Consentrating of breath intake or nature are two other approaches.

 

The Mayo Clinic considers meditation one of the best ways to reduce stress. Now that we know that stress can contribute to Alzheimer's disease, meditation for stress reduction is something we need to consider.
