Thanks for this interesting post, Dorian. I've read quite a bit about robots and caregiving and I think some of it is in our future. I worry about people with dementia, however. They already have enough trouble making sense of their environment. There may be a place for robots in their care, but for the most part, I think they need hands-on human care. For people without cognitive issues, there is probably more room for robotic care.

 

I'm sure it's coming. I hope that this ability is used wisely so that it helps with patient care and doesn't harm anyone.

Robots are coming for real, take for instance the machines. I see them as robots but when it comes to caregiving, nothing beats the touch of your love ones - real people.
