It's encouraging to see this new information, Sara. As you say, for now we need take care of our bodies and minds and get tested if we or our loved ones feel we may be developing dementia symptoms. However, long-term, the information on this specific gene and the studies based on that discovery could lead to prevention or a cure. Researchers need to look everywhere for answers since time is important. While some researchers follow this tact, others will continue studying drugs that have been disappointing in tests but with tweaking, may end up providing help for some people.
