Since our granddaughter was 18 months old, she is now 2, she has taken care of "Gumpa" when we have visited her in Florida. She loved to go wake him up in the morning and give him his glasses. She would then show him where the bathroom was and wait for him outside the door. She would then take his hand and take him to the table for breakfast. She would sit on his lap and share breakfast with him. After breakfast she would take him to the living room and show him his seat. No one told her what to do, except to wake him. It is amazing how little children can tell when someone needs help. She enjoys sitting on his lap and sharing her toys. She would like to take him on other short trips in the house, but we have to curb her enthusiasm.

Gerifitz, Great little story. Great little granddaughter, too. That's one very fortunate "Gumpa". I hope that you'll make a few short little videos of the two of them together for remembering taking care of "Gumpa". I needed a smile... thanks for posting this! Best Wishes, -- Joe --
