This is funny and quite true! It shows how the caregivers comfort the poor Alzheimer's patients.

Unfortunately in real life, lots of previous friends don't want to bother to do what Uncle Al does. Once the patient lost the ability to chat with the old  friend about the old times, the friend becomes upset, depressed and walks away because he/she does not want to act funny. The best thing the friends do is just to show up and maybe bring some food. Some friends don't call anymore because the patients cannot recall anything so the real conversation fails...

But in a nursing home or home care, this is indeed funny for caregivers like us.

Thanks for sharing.

Hi Gals - Thanks for the comedy.  I suspect for both caregivers and loved ones, it is such a relief to just chuckle a bit rather than be sad and tough all the time.  Thanks for sharing with us and coming to our community!

All the best and welcome aboard, sue (moderator)
