Hi Nina, Thanks for "venting".  That is one of the purposes of this site - to help caregivers reach out and share their experiences in the hopes of connecting with others like them.

So I hope things have gotten better with the home service nurse.  It's funny how your story reminded me of when I was a nanny (many moons ago!).  I got very connected and involved with the child I was caring for.  And I spoke my mind, (in a kind way) thought I had earned the right - boy was I wrong.  But I guess even if the nurse is not family, she is still so involved with your FIL, it would be hard for her not to say too much.  But it really is important for boudaries to be set.  You might consider contacting one of the national organizations - AFA, etc. - for some help with how to handle this.  I suspect their websites have resources to help with your situation.

Hope this helps and all the best, sue
