Sleepless Nights

My mother often has restless, sleepless nights - hallucinations, delusions, agitation, yelling.  In desperation, sometimes I give her a sleeping pill prescribed by doctor.  Problem is pill only works for 2-4 hours.  Then it starts all over again.  We've tried both Restoril and Ambien CR.  Does anyone have any... Read moreChevron

can the government send help to my aging parents?

my mom is 71 and she is the caregiver for my dad who is 74 and diagnosed with alzheimers.. my dad falls every once in a while and mom needs help..she need relief sometimes so she can shop for groceries and have some sanity .. i work full time and can only so much ...help

what about violent behavior?

I have been reading online looking for some help for my sister who is taking care of her husband. He was diagnosed with early onset last spring and is becoming violent quite often. Sleep...What to do

Ah, that insidious disease is robbing me of yet another thing--sleep.  At least, I think that is what the cause is of my inability to get a full night's sleep.  I have read that dementia can cause this.  I usually can't fall asleep until 3-ish in the morning, only to arise about 8 AM.  My naps which usually lasted 1-2... Read moreChevron
